Scott Kinzie is a photographer from Brownsburg, Indiana, where he lives with his wife Melody, who is an environmental scientist. Scott’s interest in photography began in 1974 when his dad bought him a camera to use when he was selected to tour Europe with The American Youth Band and Chorus.
Scott received a BS degree in Landscape Horticulture from Purdue University and now works with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources as a nursery inspector.
Landscapes, flora and fauna are Scott’s favorite subjects – but he will photograph anything that might have an interesting composition or design. His goal in photography is to capture the design elements of his subjects.
Scott is a member of the Photo Ventures Camera Club and The North American Nature Photography Association. Several of his photographs have ben featured in the “daily sampler” page on their website. Scott was able to attend a seminar on photographic composition in 2011, presented by Art Wolfe, who is known as one of the best nature and cultural photographers in the field today.
